What it is

One number. Three structured inputs.

The SCORE is not a price. It is a structured, continuously updated indicator that aggregates three independent components into a single reference point for every certified watch.

It does not replace the judgment of a buyer, seller or financial institution. It gives all parties a shared, verifiable baseline from which to make their own informed decisions.

Components

Three dimensions, continuously measured.

Value

Current market price

Aggregated from 300+ sources including public secondary market platforms, private sales networks, dealer channels and closed collector communities. Reflects what the market is actually paying for this reference today.

  • Comparable sales data
  • Demand trend direction
  • Price trajectory over time

Rarity

Structural scarcity

Production volume, reference status, edition characteristics and collector demand for the specific reference. Quantifies the structural scarcity of the piece within its reference category, independent of current market sentiment.

  • Production volume
  • Limited and discontinued editions
  • Collector demand index

Integrity

Certified condition

The only component that reflects this specific watch, not its reference category. Drawn directly from the physical examination: authenticity, condition across 99 criteria, service history and chain of custody documentation.

  • Physical condition assessment
  • Authenticity verification
  • Chain of custody integrity

Score tiers

What the score means.

The SCORE runs from 0 to 100. Each range corresponds to a structured position across the three components, reflecting both the certified condition of the watch and its current market standing.

0–25
Entry
Significant condition issues or rarity constraints. Limited documentation. Market demand below reference average.
25–50
Standard
Verified authenticity. Moderate condition. Standard reference with typical documentation completeness.
50–75
Premium
Strong condition across key criteria. Good documentation. Reference with established collector demand and market liquidity.
75–100
Exceptional
Exceptional condition. Complete documentation. High-rarity reference with sustained collector demand and institutional-grade provenance.

Update cycle

The score moves. The asset does not.

At the Ultra level, the watch remains in secure vault custody for the duration of certification. The physical asset is sealed and does not move. Ownership transfers digitally. The certified record accumulates. The SCORE updates continuously.

What the record locks in

The physical examination. The condition assessment. The photographic record. The provenance documentation. Established at the time of examination, anchored permanently in the registry. Each re-examination adds a new dated layer without replacing the original.

What updates continuously

The Value and Rarity components of the SCORE reflect live market data. A watch certified six months ago carries the same permanent condition record, but its SCORE reflects current market conditions. The Integrity component updates only upon re-examination.

Ultra level

Vault custody is mandatory

At the Ultra certification level, the watch is held in a secure vault partner facility for the duration of the certification period. This physical custody is required, not optional. It is what allows the Integrity component of the SCORE to remain continuously verified rather than assessed only at point of examination.

Applications

What institutions do with the SCORE.

Insurers

Actuarial basis

Replace self-declared value with an independent, continuously updated scoring indicator. Reduce declaration fraud. Verify value at claim time from a permanent, dated baseline.

Private Banks

Collateral assessment

SCORE provides a structured, auditable reference point for Lombard credit assessment. Updated continuously, independent of the borrower's own valuation, anchored to a physical certified examination.

Family Offices

Portfolio valuation

A certified collection with live SCORE data is an asset class with structured, reportable valuation. Accurate for tax, succession planning and portfolio reporting.

A SCORE requires a certification.

Every certified watch receives a SCORE automatically. The Integrity component is drawn from the physical examination. Value and Rarity are applied immediately from live market data.
